In June 2021, the local community got together to plant 1000 native plants near Sullivan’s Creek. The micro-forest will provide habitat for native birds, pollinators and skinks.
Lyneham resident, Rob explained what he liked about the micro-forest initiative –
“we live really close and it’s really nice to meet other people from the neighbourhood and just get our hands dirty planting plants and I guess setting it up and we are going to look forward walking past in the future and watching it grow.”
This project is a collaboration between the Molonglo Conservation Group and The Climate Factory and is funded through Alicia Payne’s office.
